boundary conditions for evaluating transmitted power

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

hi all,
i need to evaluate the transmitted power when a linearly polarized plane wave passes through a structure. which is the more appropriate way to proceed? by applying a perfectly matched layer around the (block shaped) structure and then using the plane wave entry feature in electromagnetic frequency domain < solve for scattered field < background wave type. Or, using port conditions.
