Diffusion-induced stress

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear colleagues,
I am a newbie with COMSOL and I would like to have some hints about how to evaluate the diffusion-induced stresses: in particular, the ones due to the lithium intercalation in a li-ion battery.
Do I simply evaluate the stress by puttint it as a variable with its formulation? or do I need to solve some PDE and couple it with the other physics?

Any reply would be appreciated,

Thank you
Fabio
