Apply a boundary coundition to only a percentage of a surface

I am investigating the electrode surface impedance effect with AC/DC module, Comsol 4.4. I would like to apply a contact impedance only on a percentage of the surface of my electrode. Also the parts of the surface where I will apply the contact impedance should be distributed randomly on the surface.
I extracted the mesh of the model thinking that I could :
- find the indices of the mesh elements contributing to the boundary of my electrode
- then change the domain number of x% of them. Lets say domain A
- apply the contact impedance only to domain A.
it didn't succeed because I get lost in the indices and I have troubles understanding the 'mesh.mphtxt' file giving the meshing.
I hope my problem is clear, I hope someone around could give me a hint on that.
Thank you for your attention,
Carole.
