Meshing Problem

Hello,
I have a problem getting my model meshed. It is a hollow cylinder with very thin walls (height=2.1m, radius=0.7m, width of wall=1.6mm). At the edge of the cylinder are holes through which coils are wound.

I have read in other forums, that you should split your domains into smaller ones, but a don't really know where to start. Some tips would be deeply appreciated. I attached the model, so you may take a look.
