Variable Names in Equation View

I'm trying to modify equations in the Semiconductor interface to suit my needs. I've enabled Equation View, so I can see what's going on under the hood.

There's some variables, however, which are used, but I can't find the definitions of. For example, I see semi.Jn_postx and semi.Jn_posty being used in the "Expression" column, but I can't find their definitions anywhere. Where are they, so I can add an extra term to the equation?

There's no such table. The only things you have are the PDE, its weakform and relations among the variables. You need to "guess" which is which.

I'm not completely sure I understand, however. These variables must be calculated somewhere (if I'm not mistaken), but they don't appear in the weak expressions or variable tables.

Hello Shivam,

After you turn on Equation View, there are nodes labeled "Equation View" attached to many nodes in the model tree. It sounds like you are simply looking in the Equation View for the "wrong" node. Use Ctrl+F to search the model for the node where the expression is defined. For each variable, there's also a Description field that explains what it corresponds to.
