Scattering from particles

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I'm working to an optical filter composed of nano-particles of polystyrene in a matrix of silicon. I would like to see how the particles (actually the whole structure ) scatter an incident electric field.
My model is a cube of silicon in which I put lots of nanoparticles.

- Do I have to select PML (the cube is PML)? .........or...............
- Select scattering boundary conditions?

In case of scattering boundary conditions, how can I do it?

Thanks in advance,

Eleonora
