Help varying temperature initial/boundary conditions with coordinates

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello all,

I am trying to set up a model in which the temperature initial conditions vary with coordinates (akin to height above/below sea level). This is easy enough done when I need to vary them vertically as I can just use the z-coordinate in 3D or 2D axi.

However, I also need to vary them in a diagonal sense (with increasing radial distance from the origin 0,0). I have attached an image to make myself clearer. As you can see I would like to be able to set the temperature to decrease the further from the centre point on the axis of symmetry while keeping the z=0 line constant.

Is this even possible? If so, can someone please help me with how?

Thanks,

James.
