Extrap

Hello Comsol gurus,

I am doing a CFD simulation in which I need to use the solution of another CFD simulation. I need to take a "slice" of the solution and use it in another geometry. As I understand, there are two ways, one is to import the data and use it in another file and the other way is to couple two models in the same file.

I have tried the second way with satisfactory results but I want to try the other one. I exported the data as a spreadsheet in a .txt file and I used an interpolation function in the new file. I inserted the interpolation function at the inlet of my geometry (in the laminar flow moduel settings: inlet) and tried to solve.

I have an error called "Extrap not supported. Error in multiphysics compilation". So far I have not found any entry or thread about this error. Either the solution is too simple or this error is not so common, I asume is the first one. What can I do? I am sure I missing something but I can't find it

Regards and thank you in advance

Miguel

This error message indicates that you are using an extrapolation that isn't available for functions defined by spreadsheets. Try changing the extrapolation setting to Constant or Specific value. In the next version, the error message will be improved.
