Rolling contact of cylinders

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am simulating rolling contact with a hollow cylinder rolling on a flat substrate in 2D. I implemented a frictional contact BC at the contacting interface with a specified friction coefficient. I also implemented a rigid connector and applied rotation and normal load. Using parametric sweep ( I realized this is necessary for frictional contacts), I rotated the cylinder from 0 to -pi/8 rad. The solution does not converge after the initial value is solved. Any hint to why it is not solving will be greatly appreciated. I attached 4.3a file.

Thank you.
