Shunt-mode Proximity Capacitive Sensing Model

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi All,

I'm trying to simulate a shunt-mode proximity capacitive sensing model and measure SNR, sensitivity, as well as accuracy for the performance evaluation. My plan is to have one conductive plate connected to AC source and act as a transmitter, and another plate will act as the receiver and connected to a receiver circuit to measure the displacement current caused by changes in electric flux.

However, I'm pretty much very new to COMSOL and don't know where to start. What physics are required, which solver/study should I use and how should I do it. Hope you guys can help me.

Thanks!
