Boundary condition of obstacle in the path of a fluid

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am very new to COMSOL. I followed a tutorial on youtube: https://youtu.be/HvQVxIhX8Pw The simulation is done using symmetry. At 2:07, the "outlet" boundary conditions is not only assigned to the outlet on the rightmost end, but also includes the edges of the semi-circle.

I am not sure why do we set the edges of the semi-circle also to be outlet? could them be set as no-slip walls?

Thank you!
