Failed to find a solution. Displacement field Singular matrix.

Hi everyone,

I am quite new to Comsol and I am trying to simulate the deformation of an electrostatic comb under the action of gravity. I meshed the device with a mapped mesh on the beam and with a coarser one on the fingers and I set one end of the bar as Fixed constraint. However I keep on getting the following error:

Failed to find a solution. Displacement field Singular matrix.

There are 25196 void equations (empty rows in matrix) for the variable comp1.u. at coordinates: (-1.2e-05,1e-05,0.00075), (-1.2e-05,8e-06,0.00075), (-1.5e-05,1e-05,0.0007464), (-9e-06,8e-06,0.00075), (-1.2e-05,7e-06,0.00075), ...

and similarly for the degrees of freedom (empty columns in matrix). In Displacement field: Returned solution is not converged. Not all parameter steps returned.

Can anybody help me?

Unfortunately I can not attach the file because it is too big...
