Force/stress with no direction

I'm trying to implement a isotropic stress due to a photon absorption. I know that this should lead to a volume expansion locally dependent on the local light field intensity, but I do not know implement the stress as a body load in Comsol.
A force in Comsol has to have a direction compared to the coordinate system, but how do you implement a isotropic expansion/stress? A local volume expansion would also be a possibility.
A photon absorption leads to an expansion through a known process but there is not any direction.
Thank you ;-)
