Force calculation in Small-Signal analysis

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am performing a small-signal analysis using the AC/DC module (azimuthal induction currents, axial symmetry). In this model I have a static magnetic field and an AC field and I would like to calculate the force on one of the subdomains as a function of frequency. Force is affected by both the static and time-varying magnetic flux. Is it possible to calculate the resulting force, using either Maxwell Stress Tensor or the Virtual Work method (or both)? And how could I set this up? (I guess some MATLAB scripting will be necessary)

Very thankful for any input,
Johan
