How to sort eigenfrequency by eigen modes?

Unusually, the COMSOL sort the eigenfrequencies by the values size which is incorrect in physics. The Ref AIP Conference Proceedings 1506, 9 (2012) discuss the eigenfrequency sorting algorithm in details. But it is really a hard work to reproduce. The following website discuss the same question. I am wondering if there is an easy way to realize the eigenfrequency ordering? https://cn.comsol.com/forum/thread/240122/eigenfrequencies-sorted-by-eigen-modes The expression in the website is really confusing. Or anyone can provide some materials about it?
