Modeling Magnetic Field through a 3D coil

I have a 3D coil (from helix primitive) as shown below. I am trying to input current through the coil and measure magnetic field, much like this article here (this article helped provide me foundation, but wasn't very in depth)

How to I run current through this model and measure magnetic field?
