Scatterer on substrate problem

Hello,
I tried to recreate the scatterer on substrate model as given in the comsol application gallery webpage. I later modified the model to my own needs by changing the nanoparticle used in the model and the materials. When I run the simulation for wavelengths larger than the size of the geometry, it works. However, for wavelengths smaller than the geometry, it does not work. Is there any reason as to why this happens?
