AC/DC coil current results

I am currently simulating current generation in a coil due to a roating magnetic field. Can someone explain how does COMSOL solve for the coil current vs time plot in results? I assume this just the net flow of current induced in a coil that is calculated. Settings that may be relevant are below.

COMSOL 5.3a -3D model. Rotating Machinery, Magnetic. Coil is an imported domain, nothing more than a few single loops. Coil is set as a single conductor coil - voltage excitation. Time dependent study

Thanks
