Capacitive proximity sensor

hi i am trying to simulate a capacitive proximity sensor. the working principle is explained in the youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jco-uU5ZgEU and https://playground.arduino.cc/Main/CapacitiveSensor?from=Main.CapSense this is a single elecrode sensor which is based on time delay between send pin and recieve pin to come to the same state. this time delay is the time constant of RC circuit. this Time delay varies whenever user brings his hand near the sensor and since we know the value of Resistance R, we can calculate the variation in capcitance.

How should i aproach to simulate the same in COMSOL ?

what all physics and study do i need to use ? is it 'Electric Current' and 'Electrical circuit' with 'stationary study' or someother combination?
