boundary conditions for euler bernoulli beam equation using equation-based modelling

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Would anyone here know how to input the boundary conditions for the euler bernoulli equation for a beam using the "general form PDE" provided by Comsol?

Based on textbooks, for a cantilever beam the BCs are:

u(0,t) = 0
u'(0,t) = 0

u''(L,t) = 0
u'''(L,t) = 0

where u(x,t) is the lateral displacement, and u' = du/dx.

I attempted to add Dirichlet Boundary Condition, but I'm not sure how to imput the above BCs. Comsol ask for r1 and r2, and I'm not sure what these r's refer to.

I appreciate any help.
