Why Stored or Current Solutions are not used toward the new solution?

Hi

I have an elastic object and would like to stretch it by applying a load F1. Then I want to remove F1 and use the deformed object and apply a second load F2. From reading the manual and some of the comments in other postings, I know that for such a problem, supposedly the solution of the first step can be Stored by Solver Manager and be used towards the solution of the second step as an initial value. But unfortunately, this doesn’t happen in my problem and the solver in the second step disregards the Stored or the Current solution. I was wondering if anyone can give me a hint.

Thanks,

Manuel
