wave vector or direction of the wave

I am doing the project of how can we decrease the divergence of the beam by using Axicon , for now I am doing a composite axicon which harder than the single one (talking about calculate the phase along path or k) I am using the beam envelop in wave optics module and I want to know that, Can I use the wave direction or wave vector from ray optics instead of calculate by myself (such as using withsol() from the ray optics)
