make the edge of composite object more smooth

Hello:
I have a simple question about drawing the shape

step1: draw a sphere

step2:draw a cylinder

step3:select all

step4; choose " difference"

but I want to make the edge of composite more smooth so that it is not sharp shape


more details in the attachment

Hi

you have no fillet options in 3D within COMSOL (you need to use an external CAD programme then. But you can do , in COMSOL, define a workplane, draw a circle, a cut line or a rectangle then make the difference and finally fillet the sharp edge. Then you perform a revolve to get the 3D shape. Have a try

Update on this thread: Nowadays COMSOL does include a direct 3D filleting capability in the Design Module. See www.comsol.com/design-module
