Electrolyte reference concentration

In the 'Lithium Ion Battery Interface', under the 'Porous Electrode Reaction' subnode, you can find the 'Electrode Kinetics' section. The 'Kinetics expression type' is preset to 'Lithium insertion'. In that case the field 'Electrolyte reference concentration: c(l,ref)' appears.

Can anyone tell me, what electrolyte concentration this is referring to?

I am just wondering, because I would assume it is referring to the electrolyte concentration, typically 1000 mol/m³ or 1200 mol/m³, as seen in the materials from the library (e.g. LiPF6 in 1:2 EC:DMC and p(VdF-HFP) (Polymer electrolyte, Li-ion Battery)).

BUT the 'Electrolyte reference concentration' field is initially preset to 1 mol/m³ and every battery tutorial from the application library, using electrolytes from the material library, leaves this figure untouched.

That doesn't make any sense to me. Maybe someone can help. Thanks in advance.

Julian
