Symmetry axis conditions for scalar quantities

I'm modelling the axisymmetric flow of a complex fluid in a pipe. The viscosity of the fluid is equal to a scalar quantity which itself is modelled using a coefficient form PDE. Does COMSOL automatically apply any conditions on this scalar on the symmetry axis? COMSOL automatically applies a zero transverse velocity condition and a vanishing stress condition on the symmetry axis, does it do something similar for quantities modelled using mathematics PDE interfaces in axisymmetric flow (such as a zero radial gradient condition)?
Thanks in advance!
