I know that there are a lot of threads on this particular topic, but I can not simply get it to work properly.
I'm trying to simulate a pile driving process. In the first (stationary) study I am trying to achive the initial settlements in the soil due to the gravity. In the second (time dependent) study I am trying to simulate the pile drive with a variable load. For the second study I change the settings for Values of Dependent Variables to
"initial values of variables solved for
Settings: User controlled
Method: Initial expression
Study: Study 1, Stationary
Selection: Automatic"
I have also tried to use other settings but COMSOL doesnt seem to care.
So my question is, what am I doing fundamentaly wrong in my set up?!
