I am doing a comsol simulation. In my piezoelectric setup I noticed that I have the option for reference impedance and is automatically set to 50[Ohms]. Can someone explain what this impedance mean? will this be the internal resistance of the piezoelectric or is it a load to the piezoelectric to obtain currents and voltage? Note I am trying to achieve open circuit simulation for power output. My model runs without errors and I get a voltage potential output, but trying to figure out what reference impedance is really doing during the simulation. Thanks in advance!
