Export Fluent and Import it to Comsol

I have a flow on a porous medium and overlying water column.

Ideally, I want to simulate the flow in the water column by FLUENT, then export the data to COMSOL (pressure,v....) to simulate the flow in porous medium with COMSOL. Flow is unsteady. Maybe there will be a loop because porewater flow might affect the flow in the water column.

I have heard that it is not possible to export FLUENT to COMSOL. Any recommendations or other CFD code to use?

Thanks for helping and suggestion.

Hello Alexandre,

You can import the results of external simulations (or experimental data) into COMSOL via interpolation functions (In the Model Builder, under Component>Definitions>Functions).
Of course, another approach would be to solve all physics inside COMSOL. This is especially true if there could be a strong coupling between the physics.

Best,
Jeff
