Time dependent contact problem.

Hi all,

Recent we need to use time dependent solver to solve the indentation problem. First step we need to make a spherical tip indent into a sample. Then we hold this tip for some time. We found it is harerd to hold this tip in the sample than moving it into sample or out of the sample. Everytime the loading process is fine while holding process connot converge. Can anyone give us some suggestiones to improve the stability of this holding contact problem in time dependent solver. I tried the different mesh and penalty factor but it still cannot work. Thanks!
