give a thickness to a geometry

hi everybody
I made the geometry in CATIA and then imported it to comsol.I want to know if there is a way Ito give a thickness to the geometry(that is 3D,curved tube like)..
any help?

Hi

If you have imported a 2D geometry into COMSOL, you can embed, extrude, or revolve it into 3D
this is still slightly version dependent in V4, probably fully impelemneted again in next version (hope so ;)

Hello Maral,
The Design Module includes the "Thicken" functionality that turns a surface into a solid object by giving the surface a thickness: see www.comsol.com/design-module for some screenshots.
This functionality is much more general than an extrusion, which only operates on planar surfaces.
