Particle Tracing problem. Need help

I have this problem and would like help on in, if possible.
I am trying to simulate a particle tracing problem. Due to the hugh amount of particles, 10000, the system takes too much time to complete the problem. I need to stop the calculations and shutdown the laptop to go out. I was thinking that stopping the calculations and saving the model would be enough in order to start the program again later and continue calculatios from the previous point. But it start from t=0 again. Some one knows what could i do in order to continue from the last calculated time?
