Two-axis, compound pendulum.

I'm new to COMSOL, but I'm interested in using it for a university project that involves modelling what is basically a compound pendulum, that is attached to a two-axis gimbal so it can swing in both x and y directions, if z is vertical.
I've seen that version 5.0 could probably do this quite easily, but the version I have access to at the moment is 4.2a. I wonder if it's still possible with this version?
The simulation needs to include damping and driving forces.
As I said, I'm really new and I'm not even sure where to begin. Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance.
