Cannot evaluate expression

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi guys,

I've been trying to model Surface Plasmon Resonance effects on a spherical nanoparticle in 3D with the aim of moving on to modelling Nanotubes using a similar method once I've got this method working. I'm pretty much a complete newcomer to COMSOL (running 4.4) so there is a chance I've done something which can't be done/is really stupid so I'd really appreciate the help!

After computing the system I've set up I get an error message saying:

"Cannot evaluate expression.

Failed to evaluate variable.
- Variable: comp1.emw.normE
- Geometry: 1
- Domain: 4
Failed to evaluate expression.
- Expression: comp1.emw.normE
- Plot: mslc1 (Multislice)"

I've read the discussion thread: www.comsol.com/community/forums/general/thread/33767/ but I'm not sure how relevant it is to my issue (I shouldn't be adding comp1.emw.normE to my parameter list surely?).

If I've missed any important information please shout!

Cheers,

Will.
