Edit composite objects

I have a multiphysics model created in 3.5, converted to 3.5a, and finally opened in 4.4. Through this conversion process (3.5 -> 4.4) the objects in the model have turned into "composite objects" and I do not know the best way to modify these geometries.

For example, in Component 1 of the minimum working example that I have attached, how do I change the chamfered corners to fillets? The only solution that I can see that allows me to fully edit the geometry of the model is to recreate it.
