Thin film on Structural mechanics

Hi,

I would like to model the stresses taking place in a sphere due to the therma Expansion. My System consist of a sphere of 9 µm and an outer layer of 10nm. Both materials they have diferent mechanical properties.

How could I simulate the outer thin layer? Is there any possibility to add it as thin layer?

Many thanks,

Izaro

Hi Izaro,

You can add a Membrane interface on the outer boundary for the thin layer.

Regards,
Henrik
