Selection by Domain or Boundary in Electrostatics

Dear Comsol users!

I recently started simulating electrostatic (basically capacitive structures) and I wonder if there is a way to add the Terminal (or Ground) by selecting a domain instead of selecting all the boundaries (which is very cumbersome)?

Basically I want to simulate interdigitated structures (or driving combs). I know there is an example available from Comsol but I wanted to start "from scratch" with this one!

Best Regards,
Chris

I am also wondering if this is possible. I am working with a fairly complicated geometric electrode array with thousands of boundaries but relatively fewer (and much easier to access) domains. If I could add electric potential to all boundaries in a domain it would be incredibly helpful.

Hello Darrin,
This is readily feasible using Explicit Selections with the geometric entity level set to domain and the output entities set to adjacent boundaries. See also Reference Manual, version 5.0, page 346.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I am still quite new to COMSOL and learning the basics. This worked great.
