inverted fillet?

Hi,

I have a silly question regarding geometry. My system basically consist of two rectangular blocks, one (narrower) standing on top of another (wider). I wanted to smooth the right angles at the points of contacts, but I am not sure how to do this seemingly simple operation? If I try to use Fillet, it can make corners of any rectangle smooth, but this is not what I need. Basically, I need something like inverted Fillet at the points of contact?

Has anyone faced a similar problem before?
