2D waveguide with comsol

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,
I am trying to simulate the modulator with graphene. The graphene is in the middle of the waveguide, the attachment is the Cross-sectional view of it. I want to study the mode of the waveguide, and calculate the loss caused by the absorption of graphene in 2D . But the graphene is too thin compared with the part of other layer. I don’t know how to create the mode and build the mesh. Can anyone give me some advice? Thank you!

Try modeling your graphene sheet as a Transition Boundary Condition instead of a geometrical entity.
