heat source motion "translational motion"

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am a beginner in Comsol and I have a project in which I have to modeling a weld along a plate, in order to observe the distortion.

First of all I work on a 2D model without the distortion just to observe the thermal aspect.

So I try to use the sub node Translational motion in the node heat transfer for solids to modeling a heat source moving along the plate.

I specified my heat source as a circle and I specified this circle for the translational motion.

But nothing happened. The circle does not move when I calculate.

Can someone take look at my model ?

Thanks all.
