Inner boundaries in Coeff-form PDEs

I have a two material system with a metal and a semiconductor. My model has three equations with three variables with one of them being charge carriers in the semiconductor. My question is how do you set an inner boundary for the charge carriers so that they do not propagate in to the metal over time?
