Conjugate Heat Transfer Cannot Evaluate Variable

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Evening all,

I'm running into a bit of an issue with (what I think) should be a pretty simple geometry. I'm new to COMSOL but not new to CFD. The objective is to simulate a pipe flowing through a heat exchanger.

When I solve the attached simulation I receive an error saying
"Failure to evaluate variable
- Variable: mod1.T
-Geometry:1
-Boundary:17

Failure to evaluate expression
-Expression: mod1.T
-Plot: Surf1 (surface)"

Here's a link to the file: dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/49961795/COMSOL/assembly.mph

I assume COMSOL has an issue with the way I've defined my boundary conditions, but I'm not sure how to proceed from here.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,
Matt

Hi,

I check your model and it looks like you have different variable for temperature T3 instead of T. Different variable is coming when you several physics and same variable inside (T, T2, T3, etc).

Best regards

Tero
