use of composite beam for detection of load

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

In my project i am using a composite cantilever beam of SILICON & GOLD. Now i am trying to calculate the deflection in the cantilever analytically when a load is applied on it.

For this first i tried using Stoney's equation, but then i realized that this equation is applicable only when the beam is been fabricated.

Can anyone please tell me which approach i shouil take or what formula i should use to calculate this deflection analytically.

Thanks
(I am trying this for last 4 days.someone please help out)
