Defining dispersive material

Hi,

I need to define a material that has Eps Real = 1 and Eps Imag = 2 at 0.1 GHz. How do I fit a 1st order model for this material?

I have uploaded a screenshot of the dispersive curves for this material in CST Microwave Studio.

Hi,

If you have a tabulated function in a text file, comma-separated file or Excel sheet, you can import it into an interpolation function. Right-click Global Definitions or Model 1 > Definitions and select Funcions > Interpolation. In the Definition window, set Data source to file, browse to your file and finally click the Import button. Now you have your tabulated function that you can use for your material parameter.

You also have a few pre-defined models for the relative permittivity. Navigate to the Wave Equation settings and the Electric displacement field model combobox. There you can select Drude-Lorentz, Debye and Sellmeier dispersion models.
