problem with geometry & draw reflectinn spectrum of gating wave guide

Hi,

I am trying to simulate Bragg grating in SOI waveguide(attached to the massage) but I have a problem with drawing the geometry:
First: the horizontal scale is much larger than the vertical one so I can't draw it.

Second: I am not sure if I should draw the top-view of the grating in comsol like Fig.1 in paper.
Third : I don;t know which part of the comsol can help me to draw reflection & transmissin spectra of the waveguide.I guess S-parameter can help me but I dont know how I can apply source and which boundary conditions I should use.
Should I use RF module> In-plane wave > Te mode> harmonic ?

Thanks in advance,

Sara

Hi

also in 3.5 there was a way to change the geoemtric view such to not scale X-Y axis equal, useful for very different scale models, such as MEMS

Good luck

Hi,
Thanks for help , how about appying source ,comsol consider incident wave as "exp(-j*k0_rfwe*x)" is that enough to apply this field to a port in order to have source?

Best Regards,
Sara

Hi,

I have a problem with inport , the check box " wave exitation at this port" is inactive, why? what should I do?

Thanks,

sara
