Possible boundary condition for battery model

Hi all,

I am trying to model a battery discharge without any kind of constant current discharge or constant voltage discharge (i.e neither galvanostatic nor potentiostatic). Now, all battery models that I see in literature use either of these as a boundary condition. If i know no boundary conditions could you suggest where I should look or possible ideas for such a discharge behaviour. The external load resistance is the only constant, both voltage and current have to be solved by the model. Thanks in advance! Appreciate any help!
