Model post processing results not stable for repeated model runs of simple model

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi Folks,

I have a model that uses point current sources to emulate a dipole using the Conductive Media DC physics package. I have tried a variety of meshes and have not come up with a situation that produces a stable post processing output. I am using points on the surface of the model as voltage measurements and a single positive and negative point current sources. What am I doing wrong in the model to cause it to not produce the same result run after run of the model?

I have attached my very simple model that has this problem.

Thanks,

Allan

Hi

Something I do not understand ! Arn't you doing ElectroStatics and should you use rather the (es) module ?

For me the dc is really for "running" currents, and with your point "sources" you problem is rather "static".

By the way, you have several nice models, among other on the faraday cage examples, in the Model Exchange

Hope this helps
Good luck
Ivar

Dear Ivan,

I was looking for Faraday cage models but could not find any in the model exchange. Can you suggest where I can get these?

Thanks
