Dispersion curve of a plate in vacuum

Hi,
I am considering the propagation of wave in a 2D multilayared medium. I started with a simple infinite plate in vacuum to get the dispersion curve. I found some references using Floquet periodicity to model an infinite plate and then plot the dispersion curve and it works well. But I want to know whether PML (Perfectly Matched Layer) or Infinite Elements can be also used (instead of floquet periodicity) to compute the dispersion curve?
