Strain distribution of film under force

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello everyone!

I am simulating the Stretch-ability test and need to obtain the displacement of end point and strain distribution

after the applied loads or displacement.

There are two different kinds of structures. One is the "Flat", another is "Wavy"

"Fla.png" file is the result of flat type and show reasonable result. ( value of strain, displacement of right end line,

deformated shape.)

However, in case of "Wavy", the result is so weird.

Deformation of wavy structure is strange.

In boundary condition, i did two "Prescribed displacement" for two side face.

Left face is fixed with 0 of xyz, right face is fixed with only y and z. Because i loaded force to x direction.

And i loaded some force to right face (direction is x). I attach the comsol file.

Frankly speaking.... I don't know the reason.

What's the critical mistake of my modelling???

Plz let me give a little advise....

Thanks
