Non Newtonian fluid mixture flow through a duct

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I have a mixture of fluid wich contains 0.8% of non newtonian liquid (its flow behaviour can be expressed with carreau yasuda model) and 0.2% water. (I can consider this 0.8% non newtonian liquid as liquid bubbles too). These are the intial conditions at the inlet. When this fluid mixture flows through the duct this non newtonian liquid becomes solidify and water separates from the mixute at the outlet. Inside pH gradient and shear rate cause this solidification and fluid separation. I want to model this with COMSOL. but I have no idea from where to start. At the initial stage I dont want to consider the pH gradient inside the duct. Can anyone suggest me how to start this model with COMSOL?
