Hi!

We're looking to replace our aging Xeon compute workstation with something more modern. According to the Hardware Recomendations, larger cache should be better. In this case The new Milan cpus have 768MB L3 cache instead of 256MB. (Xeons only have 48-60MB L3 cache)

The idea is to use a Dual CPU configuration with 16 DIMMS (8 channels per EPYC CPU). So the qeustion is which configuration would be best. We are currently using models of 100-150GB and CPU usage is maxed out on the old Xeon workstation.

A) 2x CPU 7573X, 768MB cache, 3.6GHz CPU speed, 16 DIMMS 3200MHz B) 2x CPU 75F3, 256MB cache, 4.0GHz CPU speed, 16 DIMMS 3200MHz C) 1X CPU 7773X, 768MB cache, 3.5GHz CPU speed, 8 DIMMS 3200MHz

What do you recommend?
